Non-woven discs are a combination of strong synthetic mesh and quality abrasives, bonded together by a smear-free adhesive. They are ideal for use on portable tools to clean and remove imperfections on metal surfaces, clean, deburr or finish a variety of surfaces, blend weld seams or create decorative finishes. The open construction of the non-woven material enables aggressive cutting action and improved surface finish while maintaining its non-loading feature. Make your cuts up to 20% faster and get generally better performance, with this Bear-Tex® Rapid Prep™ AO coarse grit non-woven hook and loop disc on your angle grinder. This sturdy disc uses a high-quality aluminum oxide abrasive to produce a coarse grain for first passes that efficiently shave away the metal you're working with. The high loft nylon fiber material in the backing pads the disc face and extends its useful life, while Clean Bond resin technology helps ensure a smear-free finish even on alloys with a high nickel content.
